Nexla solves the challenges of data operations, to enable greater focus on Machine Learning & Analytics

Nexla is an early stage company seed funded by Blumberg Capital, Storm Ventures, Engineering Capital as well as some well known angel investors. Nexla offers a Data Operations platform that solves the operational challenges with inter-company data. As companies look to expand outside sources of data, Nexla's platform provides the automation and simplification of data operations work for both outgoing and incoming data while being easy to use for non-engineers.


We're looking for 

Engineering interns who are passionate about software engineering and big data. You are a senior pursuing an undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in a graduate program. You are an ideal candidate for Nexla if:

  • You are passionate about programming and software. You love to code and always tinker with ideas and projects. You are the go-to-person for your friends when they need help with programming
  • You have an excellent understanding of data structures and you have strong computer science fundamentals
  • You love efficiency which means you are excited about algorithms that are fast, elegant, and scalable
  • Your knowledge of software is not just academic, you have also built substantial projects you are proud of.
  • You never hesitate to learn a new programming language, a new framework, or read a new book.
  • You have put in the effort to learn about machine learning and the recent advancements in the area. Whether you had a chance to work on machine learning or not you are confident that given an opportunity you can do it as well as anyone else.


Skills needed:

  • Programming in Java, C++ or Python
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop is a big plus but not a requirement

If you have the above then we care less about your grades and GPA!

Please note: we are currently only considering masters and PhD students graduating within the next year for internship positions.

This internship will take place Summer 2018.
