Software Engineer, Solutions Engineering

Job description

Nexla is looking for passionate, talented software engineers to help us build the next generation of data operations tools. This role is best suited for someone who has a deep interest in data and analysis. You should be comfortable manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data programmatically. You should have strong hands on programming experience, having built data intensive solutions in the past. This role requires the candidate to possess, or have a willingness to acquire, skills in Big Data technologies such as Docker and Kafka.  

 

As a solutions engineer, you will…

  • Configure the Nexla platform for our customers specific Data Operation needs
  • Build custom integrations or custom solutions to address requirements not currently part of the core Nexla Platform
  • Analyze and provide solutions for customer data needs in a timely manner
  • Build automation and monitoring tools for production data pipelines
  • Provide technical support for POCs and Customer issues

Requirements

You have...

  • 5+ years of overall software development experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of strong programming experience with Python
  • Proficiency in working and developing on Linux and expertise in Unix shell scripting
  • Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL with excellent SQL skills.
  • Prior experience working with AWS Redshift and AWS S3
  • Experience with integrating with 3rd party REST/SOAP APIs
  • Strong analytic ability and ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
